Locate the concern
Hydrogen sulfide can originate in the source water, plumbing or a water heater. Hot-water-only odor can warrant a heater investigation.
Test before specifying
The concentration and other water conditions influence treatment. A professional may evaluate oxidation, filtration or another appropriate method.
A symptom is not a safety test
If contamination is suspected, contact the health department and arrange appropriate laboratory testing. An odor filter is not a safety determination.
